Headstrong: Think Big Funding - Closing date 29 Sep 2011

Published: 5 September 2011

Headstrong: Think Big Funding Think Big Challenge: Would you like the opportunity to receive an award of €5000 for your project?

O2 have made a fund of €20,000 available to the Think Big project in recognition of the ability and creativity of the young people who have taken part in Think Big projects to date. To further support them and encourage them to Think Bigger we are offering 4 one off grants of €5,000 along with specialist mentoring support.

Think Big was designed by Headstrong and O2 to give young people the tools they need to promote positive mental health in their community, club or educational setting. To date we have supported 60 projects around the country with training, a start-up pack, mentoring and grants of €300 for small projects and €2000 for larger projects. Young people intuitively understand the importance of mental health and who better to know how to reach their peers. Projects supported by us to date include a fashion show, an album, a graffiti project and smaller projects which simply encourage people to be that bit kinder to each other.

The closing date for this award is the 29th September so there is still plenty of time to get thinking.
