Social Entrepreneurs Ireland - Applications invited for €775,000 Awards Programme

We're delighted to share with you the good news that Social Entrepreneurs Ireland has opened for applications for the 2012 Awards Programme, with a total fund of €775,000 to support individuals with new, big ideas for social change in Ireland. 
The Awards Programme will see eight social entrepreneurs awarded across our two support programmes: The Impact Programme and the Elevator Programme. We will Award three social entrepreneurs a place on the Impact Programme. Each of these will receive a package of support worth €200,000 over two years to help them to scale the impact of their project/organisation. In addition, we willl select five social entrepreneurs to take part in the Elevator Programme. Each of these will receive a package of support worth €35,000 over one year.
You are receiving this mail today as you are part of the social entrepreneurship community in Ireland. We will launch the application process publicly tomorrow, Wednesday. We need your help to launch and to spread the word! Please join us tomorrow morning at 11.15 outside the Gibson Hotel (just behind the Point Theatre beside the Luas Station) for a cup of tea/coffee and take part in our group photoshoot to launch the selection process. We're hoping to get as many people to take part in the group photo as possible to show the momentum behind social entrepreneurship in Ireland, so we hope you can make it.
