SERI Member Awarded Most Hospitable Regional Community Event Venue - County Limerick

SERI are delighted to announce that St Munchin's Community Centre has been awarded Most Hospitable Regional Community Event Venue - County Limerick in The Irish Enterprise Awards 2022 by EU Business News.

Speaking to Linda Ledger, CEO of St. Munchins Community Centre and SERI Practitioners' Council member, about the award, she said:

Winning the award is fantastic, it is great to be recognised for all the great work the staff and volunteers do. Any award show casing social enterprise is great as the social enterprise sector is not fully understood by a lot of people. Hopefully now with this and working with SERI we can prove the value of real social enterprise , what it does and how much it is needed.

Adding to Linda's statement, Des Hanrahan, Interim Manager of SERI mentioned:

Linda is an important member of SERI's Practitioners' Councils and the work herself and all the staff at St. Munchins Community Centre is vital for the Limerick community along with highlighting the importance of social enterprises. This award is very well deserved and we wish them every success in the future.
